More than 200 delegates from Filipino NPOs gathered for the Second Fund Raising Congress in Manila at the end of August. On the theme Building Stronger Bridges, the congress, organized by Venture for Fund Raising, included plenary sessions on funding trends, innovative business and NGO partnerships, ethics in fundraising, and philanthropists’ attitudes towards giving. Among the numerous breakout session topics were taxation, social venture capital, making giving easier, and endowment funds.
