Rockefeller steps in to fund discarded government programme

The Rockefeller Foundation has stepped in to fund a programme that helps poor countries reduce their vulnerability to floods, drought and other climate-related hazards after government support for the programme, the Center for Capacity Building, was withdrawn recently. The programme will move to the University of Colorado under a $1 million Rockefeller grant, spread over two years, and will change its name to the Consortium for Capacity Building, reflecting its aim to develop relationships with foreign institutions.
