Hedge fund manager Chris Hohn last year donated £324 million to the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), the foundation set up by him and his wife Jamie Cooper-Hohn. The donation is the biggest single one made by a UK philanthropist. CIFF’s area of work is the developing world and includes projects to help children affected by HIV/AIDS and improving sanitation and hygiene.
