Following the annual publications on tracking European and US philanthropic funding on HIV/AIDS, issued last November by the European HIV/AIDS Funders Group (EFG) and Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA), the two organizations are further strengthening their partnership with the aim of facilitating exchange of experience and cooperation among HIV/AIDS funders across the Atlantic. To this end, EFG and FCAA, for the first time ever, are convening a joint HIV/AIDS foundations event at the International AIDS conference in Vienna in July 2010. Together, both organizations are determined to continue stepping up efforts to facilitate an effective foundation response to HIV/AIDS, in a critical period of ongoing economic crisis, competing global issues and static or decreased funding for HIV/AIDS.
