‘The European foundation sector is a major economic force and makes significant contributions to the public good of Europe,’ says a Feasibility Study published by the European Commission on a possible European Foundation Statute. The generally positive findings of the study, prepared by the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and the Centre for Social Investment at the University of Heidelberg, have been welcomed by the European Foundation Centre, an active campaigner for such a statute.
