Oded GrajewAlthough the Millennium Declaration was signed by world leaders in 2000, the Millennium Development Goals only really began to appear on Brazil’s agenda a few years later, in February 2004, when Oded Grajew, President of the Ethos Institute, arranged a meeting with President Lula to talk about creating an annual ‘day of solidarity’. Now things are beginning to happen, he told Alliance. Brazil-specific goals are being formulated, the Brazilian government has agreed to producing yearly progress reports, and the business sector is starting to support the Goals.
