Huda Hakki has joined Alliance magazine as regional representative covering the GCC countries. Hakki is a socio-economic development professional based in Saudi Arabia.

Hakki joins a growing team of Alliance regional representatives that now cover nine regions including the Arab region, west Africa, east Africa, central and southern Africa, south Asia, east Asia, Latin America, and central, eastern Europe – and now the GCC countries.

Hakki’s work in the MENA region, specifically in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, have given her the opportunity to build programmes that empower and support youth, women, and underprivileged communities through capacity-building, grantmaking, and advocacy. She has spearheaded many initiatives focusing on bridging gaps between macro-policied and micro-realities to impact institutional performance and societal welfare.

Bringing a wealth of localised philanthropy knowledge, Hakki will help Alliance achieve more depth in its global coverage of Gulf philanthropy and bring more transparency to area of high-net worth giving that has not traditionally received as much coverage.

Alliance is delighted that Huda has joined our growing team of regional representatives globally, and we are looking forward to learning from her expertise in Arab and Gulf philanthropy,’ said Alliance digital editor Elika Roohi who works with the regional representatives. ‘The expansion of our regional representatives team has been a strong signal from the sector that there is an appetite for better coverage of global philanthropy, and Alliance excited to meet that challenge with a great global team supporting our work.’
