Following the announcement of the retirement of the current managing director, Katherine Watson, the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) are now looking for the next visionary leader to continue the ECF’s mission to work with civil society across Europe, contributing to open and inclusive communities through culture.

Based in Amsterdam, the ECF is a grantmaking and impact-driven foundation that seeks to support and promote cultural activities of a European nature. Culture is seen as a crucial tool in bridging divides and enabling freedom, solidarity and diversity, which alongside equality and democracy, are driving values at the ECF.

The organization supports and highlights positive voices in these times of global economic, social and environmental pressures, and gives a voice to those who have been excluded from the public sphere by supporting cultural change makers and encouraging collaborations.
