Alliance magazine, global infrastructure network WINGS and the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) came together for their first joint webinar to discuss the 10th anniversary of the World Giving Index.

This hour-long event discussed the use of data in fostering an enabling environment for philanthropic infrastructure, with particular analysis on Latin America. It addressed the relevance of data researching, analysis and dissemination to the philanthropic ecosystem, as well as data’s relevance in decision-making, policy-making and overall understanding of the sector. The panellists discussed the difference in reporting approaches, how data research can be improved, what we have learned over 10 years of the World Giving Index, and the challenges ahead.

Speaking on this topic were Susan Pinkney, Head of CAF Research and Insight; Clara Bosco, Senior Advisor on Civil Society Resourcing at Civicus; and Paula Fabiani, CEO of IDIS in Brazil. This event was chaired by Andrew Milner, Associate Editor of Alliance magazine.
