We want to open and broaden the philanthropy conversation.

That means taking active steps to include, welcome and amplify previously excluded voices and making them more central to the philanthropy conversation.

Following our external EDI report, and as part of our ongoing efforts to find better ways to include an array of diverse voices, Alliance is launching a new Inclusion Fund.

The Fund will support previously excluded voices including those who haven’t written for Alliance magazine before, because of both language and financial constraints. Those who do not speak English or have it as a first language are primarily welcome to contact us.

This fund provide an option to submit an article in their own language.

We will pay writers £250 for articles of up to 1,500 words. Eligibility to access the fund will be based on rolling applications with clear qualifying criteria.

Alliance will also handle and paying for translations, alongside a translation of submission guidelines in local languages, wherever possible.

Not having English as a mother tongue makes it harder to submit articles to an English language publication. And there are plenty of experts in the world of philanthropy who have a stronger command of their sector, without knowing English.

Find out more on how to get in contact with our editorial team via our submission guidelines, also available in a select number of languages.
