Vodafone is the most accountable of the world’s 100 largest corporations, according to the 2008 Accountability Rating compiled by AccountAbility and Csrnetwork. According to a press release from AccountAbility, the company’s initiatives, which range from mobile-based banking and education for the rural poor to developing e-waste facilities in emerging markets, shows that they are ‘embedding responsible business practices’ into a wide range of their operations.
