Advice on philanthropy will become a core service for European wealth advisers within the next five years, according to 60 per cent of the respondents to a newly published survey. However, says the report, More Advice Needed, private client advisers are currently not meeting the needs of philanthropists. While the majority of wealth advisers feel that they are not adequately trained to offer philanthropic advice, only 50 per cent of the private banks interviewed felt their front-line teams are well trained in discussing philanthropy with their clients.
