Daniel Bekele and Netsanet Demissie are civil society leaders and coordinators of the Global Call for Action against Poverty (GCAP) in Ethiopia. They were detained almost two years ago on what observers say are politically motivated charges, designed to intimidate other civil society actors in the country.
